There wasn't a comic last week. Some technical difficulties prevented me from posting. Now, I know many of you are upset and I can't say I blame you. Reading this strip is probably the highlight of your week, the only respite you have from the horrible grinding monotony of your sad, sorry little life. You might've thought to yourself, "Tom is the only one who understands me. His art... No, scratch that. His JOY is what keeps me going. He's a hero. But where is he this week? Why isn't he here for me, now, when I need him the most?" In fact, some of you were probably thinking of doing something violent. Taking your rage to the streets. Maybe wrenching a filthy lead pipe free from a tenement wall and just smashing some old lady in the face with it. Or lighting a shoe on fire and throwing it into a crowded movie theater. You probably said to yourself, "Where is No-Town? Where is the only thing that makes sense anymore? I WILL SEE THIS CITY BURN!"
But here's the thing that you all forgot: don't sweat the small stuff, and it's ALL small stuff! When life hands you lemons, make lemonade! If No-Town isn't new, hey, why not read through "Classic" No-Town strips and enjoy the countless laughs (and lessons!) they contain. Or heck, if you can't get your fix, why not write some No-Town "fan fiction" (the distribution of which, for profit, is expressly forbidden by Thomas P. O'Donnell, creator of No-Town and all related characters) and post it to your "web blog"! See, I don't do this for me. I do it for you. But you've got to learn to be you and to love who you are. I can't do that for you. All I can do is point you in the right direction. It's up to you to learn to be a complete person, and I just know you can do it!
In short: don't sweat the small stuff, and it's ALL small stuff! Also: when life hands you lemons, make lemonade!
Oh, and P.S. I just posted a new comic!
Thank me later.
