Three things:

1. Another comic posted. Love it or leave it, just don't sweat me.

2. I recently got an email from a young fan, who had this to say:

"...that Viking song list is a travesty. Leaving off 'Invaders' by Iron Maiden is weak sauce, friend. Super weak."

In response, I would like to say that I'm sorry if some of you are unhappy my choices for the list. I know there are dozens, if not thousands, of great Viking -themed songs out there, but frankly not every one of them deserves to be called the best of all time. It was a judgment call, and Invaders (and many other wonderful songs) simply didn't make it into my top 10. The list was intended to spark discussion and I am grateful that it seems to have done just that. But it's important that this remain a safe place where we can all feel comfortable expressing our thoughts and ideas. Words like "super weak" or "weak sauce" are only likely to make people feel ashamed or angry or even make them sob powerfully for a whole weekend and not be able to get out of bed, because what's the point. A certain level of dignity and respect must be maintained in how we communicate with each other.

In conclusion: don't hate. Participate!

3. Yesterday, my wife Karen gave birth to a beautiful, 8 lb 6 oz baby boy. We're calling him "Caleb" after my dad. Welcome to the world, little guy.

There's so much out there we want to show you, and so much you have to teach us....

JUST KIDDING!

It was a girl.

So, we bound its feet and exposed it on a mountainside. Jesus, I'm getting super tired of committing female infanticide. But there are two things you have to remember when considering raising a female child to maturity. A. Will she be able to do heavy farm labor? Chances are, no. B. Dowry! What patriarch wants to pay this? Not me, I don't mind telling you!

Also, what's the deal with restaurants spelling their names weird?

Anyways, I'm out.
